Kite Flying on Pentecost

Sunday, May 24, 2015

The youth were given kite kits on the 7th Sunday of Easter (the Sunday before Pentecost).  During Sunday school on Pentecost Sunday we had a kite flying day.

The kite flying event was based on a passage from the second chapter of the Book of Acts, where the Holy Spirit is imparted upon the disciples as a rush of wind on that first Pentecost Sunday.

"When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.

And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind,

and it filled the entire house where they were sitting....

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit."

The following are some photos from that event.
