Betty J. Henderson
August 12, 1927  --  May 10, 2024

     Our sister in faith, Betty Jane (Kauffman) Henderson, formerly of Womelsdorf, passed away onBetty Henderson2May 10, 2024 at Mifflin Center, Shillington. She was the widow of the late David C. Henderson with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was employed for many years at the Stouch Tavern.

 

     Born on August 12, 1927 to the late Harry and Mada (Baver) Kauffman, Betty is survived by her loving children, David E. Becker, Robesonia, Kathe (Roger) Henderson Stanislaw, South Heidelberg, Karen (Craig) Henderson Steen, Gibsonia, and William D. (Paula) Henderson, Upper St. Clair. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Althouse. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lewis R. Becker, and John T. Henderson; and five brothers, Nevin, Lewis, Harry, Frederick, and Allen Kauffman; and a sister, Marianne Cherrybon.

 

     She was a member of Zion UCC, Womelsdorf, where she played the piano for Sunday School. She was also a member of PTA, PTO, and the Farm Women.

 

     Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, May 16th, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 West Penn Avenue, Wernersville. Burial will be private in Zion Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery, Womelsdorf. Online condolences may be made at www.lammandwitman.com.

                         at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Wernersville

    Burial:   Private in Zion Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery, Womelsdorf. 
 
    Prayers of Remembrance:  Sunday, July 21, 2024,
                         during the 10:15am Worship Service, at the
                         United Church of Christ of Robesonia.
