In Loving Memory of

     Our sister in faith, Barbara J. Breininger, 85 of Robesonia, a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Robesonia, PA, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Phoebe-Berks in Wernerville.

 

     Barbara was born on May 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Stanton Clay and Catherine (Fox) Wolf.

 

     In 1957 she married Lester P. Breininger, Jr.  They were married for 54 years before his passing in 2011.

 

     She graduated from Hamburg High School and The Reading Hospital School of Nursing. 

 

     Barbara was very civic minded and was involved in the Robesonia Borough Council and was the first woman president of the Pennyslvania State Borough Association.  Barbara and Lester started the Friends of the Robesonia Furnace to preserve the history of Robesonia.  She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, Robesonia.

 

     She is survived by three children, Greta Marie (Ronald) Taft of Westfield PA; Lisa (Wendall) Randolph, Fairfax, VA; Lester P Breininger III, (Linda Lewis) of Robesonia.  Grandchildren, Lester P Breininger IV; Morgan (Abbey) Taft; Allen-Michael Randolph; Allana Randolph. Siblings, Charlotte (Stan Moszcienski) Dreibelbis, Rose (Mike) Gerhart, Frieda (Dave) Trauger; D.Fritz (Louise) Wolf. Brother-in-law Kenneth (Jane) Breininger; Sister-in-Law Shirley Breininger. Along with many nieces and nephews.

 

     A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Robesonia, PA, with the Rev. Mary Etta Mest officiating.
