Donald W. "Skip" Dries
December 14, 1929  --  March 25, 2017
DriesDonald Obit-2017     Our brother in faith, Donald W. ”Skip” Dries, age 87, of Sinking Spring, a member of St. Paul's UCC in Robesonia, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Manor Care Health Services, Sinking Spring. He was formerly of West Penn Avenue, Robesonia and he resided at Colonial Lodge for 18 years in Denver, PA.

      Born in Robesonia on December 14, 1929, he was a son of the late Fred O. Dries and Ethel A. (Miller) Dries.
      Skip was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Robesonia, rarely missed a worship service, and used to ring the church steeple's bell to announce the beginning of the worship services.  He was an active member of the Pioneer Hose Company #1 in Robesonia from his youth till the time he moved to the Colonial Lodge in Denver.  Donald loved listing to classical music.
      He is survived by his brother Robert C. Dries husband of Patricia (Merkel) Dries of Robesonia and sister Julia M. (Dries) wife of Daniel R. Christ of Fleetwood.  Also there are several nieces and nephews.
      Skip was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marjorie A. (Dries) widow of Guy A. Troxell and brother Leonard Dries.
      Services will be private with burial in Fleetwood Cemetery, Fleetwood.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Donald’s memory to Pioneer Hose Company #1 Station 26 Robesonia, 32 West Penn Avenue, Robesonia, PA 19551.

                            at the Fleetwood Cemetery, Fleetwood.


    Prayers of Remembrance:  Sunday, April 30 during the 10:25am Worship Serivce,
                            at St. Paul's UCC, Robesonia
